An Introduction to Computational Chemistry [Link] is a training manual I wrote in graduate school to teach new practitioners of computational chemistry the essentials of the art and how to run simple calculations in Gaussian. Since the first version was written in during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, it has been adopted by a number of research groups at Ohio State and shared with groups outside of OSU. A new edition incorporating the sweeping changes implemented in ORCA 6 is underway.
Introduction to Mössbauer Spectroscopy [Link] is a short review of the underlying principles of Mössbauer resonant γ-ray spectroscopy and interpretation of Mössbauer spectra that I provided to trainees as well as to any external collaborators for whom I performed Mössbauer spectroscopy to help both groups better understand the instrument, its capabilities, and the physico-chemical data contained within the spectra.
Mössbauer Spectrometer Standard Operating Procedure [Link] is a detailed standard operating procedure document I authored to supplement the training of new users on the safe operation of the Mössbauer spectrometer at Ohio State.
Mössbauer Spectroscopy Data Analysis Guide [Link] is a guide that walks users through how to use WMOSS to fold, fit, and analyze their own Mössbauer data.
The OSU CBC Accident Playbook [Link] is a document that I co-created with the Chemical Safety Coordinator of The Ohio State University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (OSU CBC) to provide an authoritative reference guide for how to repond to a chemical or biological emergency occuring in the laboratory.
